Before Use
Before you start
- Run it on Windows.
- Start MapleStory first because the overlay tracks the game window title.
- The Windows executable requests administrator permission for stable window tracking.
- Mouse input is captured only while the cursor is over the browser panel.
Quick Start
Setup flow
- Download the latest Windows release from the MapleStory download folder.
- Launch MapleStory and confirm that the game window is open.
- Extract the package and run MapleStory - The Overlay.exe.
- When the overlay attaches to the game window, choose a streaming service from the service selector.
- Drag or resize the panel so it does not block the play area.
- Use the toolbar opacity slider to balance video visibility with gameplay visibility.
- Lock the panel to prevent accidental browser interaction, then unlock it when you need playback controls.

How to use it
Panel controls
The browser panel floats above the game like PiP. Use the header and edges to position and resize it, then tune opacity from the toolbar.
Input behavior
When the cursor is outside the browser panel, mouse input passes to MapleStory. On the panel, the browser receives input for playback, login, and service controls.
Locking and visibility
The lock control prevents accidental interaction during play. Global shortcuts control overlay visibility and browser input mode.

Troubleshooting
Overlay does not attach
- Make sure MapleStory is already running.
- Check that the game window title can be detected as MapleStory.
- Restart the app with administrator permission.
Mouse control feels wrong
- The browser receives input while the cursor is over the panel.
- Move the cursor outside the panel or enable lock mode when you only want to control the game.
- If input state feels stuck, press Ctrl+Alt+Y to toggle browser input again.
